CNSC Season-End Trail-Grooming Schedule

Our Trail Grooming Program will end for the season on March 23rd

This spring has arrived more abruptly than usual and conditions are changing rapidly each day, making consistent grooming difficult to plan for. That being said, here are some considerations which we will planning on:

Monday 10th – Sunday 16th

  • Monday-  Leaving storm snow to settle, dry, and accumulate any more snowfall for best trail-setting conditions
  • Tuesday/ Wednesday – Grooming each day with the goal of resetting the whole system
  • Thursday/ Friday – Grooming as necessary for new snowfall
  • Saturday/ Sunday – Grooming one or both days to refresh trails

Monday 17th – Sunday 23rd

  • Grooming days may be reduced if temperatures rise
  • Grooming as required for fresh snowfall
  • Trails will be refreshed/ maintained for Saturday/ Sunday

Here are some considerations for skiers to make the most of the spring conditions:

  1. The trails and grooming are good when the snow is fresh. We will try and groom consistently with every new snowfall. Try and catch the trails within a day or two of this for best conditions!
  2. The Hotter the afternoon, the icier the next morning!
  3. Trails up at higher elevations tend to preserve better conditions for longer (less icing an melting).
  4. Pine Trail is typically your safest access point to the higher trails, in icy conditions.
  5. The green trails will be kept clear for skiing, and tracked as long as possible until our last day of grooming!

Keep an eye on our Grooming Updates Webpage for daily conditions and grooming reports.

The trail grooming team and coordinator would like to thank everyone for such a great season!
